Welcome to the First Reconciliation/ First Eucharist page!

These sacraments mean so much to me. I remember when I was a little girl at Catholic elementary school how special it was to be in second grade. I finally got to have Jesus! As my teacher was preparing our class for our First Eucharist, I distinctly remember her telling us that when we got to have Communion, we would never be hungry again. I am sure this is not all that she said about this, but it’s what I remembered. I was quite confused by the concept, so for the first few weeks after my First Eucharist I didn’t eat breakfast believing that my tummy wouldn’t be hungry. It wasn’t until a few years later that I understood the meaning of her story. It was my soul, not my tummy, that needed the real presence of Jesus found in the Eucharist. I still have the same desire I had as a child to understand and know more about our faith. It is what drives me as a Faith Formation Director to provide quality experiences for those preparing to receive the sacraments.
